The Collector's Guide to Privacy-First Trading
Collectibles are personal. Your identity shouldn't be the price of entry. Here's how serious collectors and vendors trade rare cards, comics, watches, and memorabilia on Veil without exposing who they are offline.
Trade under a handle, not your legal name
Every Veil account is anchored to a username, not your real identity. Sellers and buyers evaluate each other on reputation, verification, and history — not personal data.
Keep personal data out of your listings
Avoid embedding phone numbers, home addresses, or personal photos in listing descriptions and images. Use Veil's built-in messaging so contact stays inside the platform.
Verify trust without exposing yourself
Look for the Verified badge, seller reputation, and completed transaction history. Verification proves the account is real without revealing the person behind it.
Control who sees what
Set your profile visibility, DM permissions, and channel member visibility to private in Settings. You choose which parts of your presence are public.
